Cardiff Transcription Centre
The Cardiff Transcription Centre creates accessible versions of printed material in either English or Welsh. We cover everything from Welsh Government documents to children's books.
Who uses our transcription services?
We produce audio, braille, large print, tactile images, and electronic copies of printed material.
The commercial arm of our services makes accessible formats for paying customers. For example, we produce accessible Welsh language materials for the Department for Children, Education, Lifelong Learning and Skills (DCELLS).
Free transcription for RNIB members
RNIB members, as part of their membership package, can request free transcription for up to the equivalent of 300 straightforward print pages every year. This means our Transcription Team are always busy creating accessible materials for our members, producing the equivalent of over 28,000 print pages every year.
