Cross party vision group

The Cross Party Vision Group brings together assembly members, organisations with an interest in eye health and sight loss, and blind and partially sighted people.

The Cross Party Vision Group focuses on implementing the Wales Vision Strategy.

The group provides its members with the information and support they need to act as 'sight loss champions' and raise awareness across the National Assembly of the issues faced by people with sight loss.

The group is chaired by Welsh Labour Assembly Member (AM) Sandy Mewies, with the other parties represented by:

  • Janet Finch-Saunders AM (Welsh Conservative Party)
  • Eluned Parrott AM (Welsh Liberal Democrats)
  • Rhodri Glyn Thomas AM (Plaid Cymru).
