Description
We are looking for lived experienced Welsh speaking volunteers who are interested in getting involved in a new lived experience group within RNIB.
You will provide valuable insight into communicating bilingually and accessibly. This will include helping to steer a new training module for organisations functioning bilingually across Wales.
Your feedback will guide the design, tone of voice, and functionality of the training by shaping the learning scenarios and testing early prototypes. You will also contribute to future campaigns by sharing lived experience of the challenges facing Welsh speakers with sight loss and help to improve accessibility within Welsh language communications.
How often will I be needed?

Minimum age
- You must be at least 18 years old to apply
What skills and experience are needed?
- Welsh speaker (first language or advanced learner)
- Ability to talk openly and share experiences in group discussions
- Will have good active listening skills to engage respectfully and sensitively with others’ experiences and perspectives
- Will be able to work collaboratively and constructively with other group members and RNIB staff
- Confidence to raise issues and a willingness to speak up about accessibility concerns within bilingual communications
- Ability to reflect on personal experiences to draw meaningful insights from their own journey.
