RNIB comments on the death of HRH Prince Philip

“We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, husband and consort of our Patron, Her Majesty The Queen.

“He devoted much of his life to philanthropy and was associated with hundreds of charities either as president, patron or as an honorary member.

“Over the years, His Royal Highness attended several RNIB receptions at the Palace alongside Her Majesty, and we are immensely grateful for the support they have both given us.

“Our thoughts are with Her Majesty The Queen and the Royal Family at this sad and difficult time.”
