Staying in work

Information on support and services to help you stay in work when you have been diagnosed with sight loss.

Staying in work

We’re here to provide support, information and advice to help you stay in work if you’ve recently been diagnosed with sight loss, experienced a change in your sight, a change in your working environment or a change of job.

Our staying in work checklist can help you to prepare for conversations with your employer about reasonable adjustments to your role including the use of assistive technology, support workers and the Access to Work scheme. Remember you do not have to disclose your diagnosis to your employer but doing so will help them to accommodate you.

You can also find lots of useful information about staying in work and your rights under the Equality Act 2010 in our factsheet.
