A free informal, three session telephone group focusing on sight loss and employment.
The aim of this course is to provide information and support blind and partially sighted people to make positive steps moving forward in achieving their employment goals.
Whether you are looking for employment, need support to remain in employment or you are on the journey to discover your next steps towards employment this is the group for you.
- Topics explored in this course are:
- Identifying and developing your employment skills
- Knowing your rights – The Equality Act 2010 and Disability Act
- Knowing what support is available – Job retention, Services available and Access to work.
- Moving forward – Volunteering opportunities, Paid work placement schemes, Job searches and applications support, and interview tips.
Session 4 is a pilot feedback session.

This phone group is open to all residents of the UK.
Duration
Four sessions, up to 90-minutes each.

Every Friday from 4 October to 25 October, from 10am to 11:30am.
