RNIB’s Wellbeing for Volunteers

At RNIB, we are committed to providing opportunities to contribute towards the wellbeing of our volunteers. We are dedicated to offering robust support to ensure our volunteers thrive. Volunteers are crucial to our organisation and contribute significantly across a variety of roles. Discover more about our volunteer wellbeing offers.

Employee and Volunteer Assistance Programme

Volunteers can access the Employee and Volunteer Assistance Programme (EVAP) for additional support, including guidance and, where appropriate, counselling. This independent, free, and confidential service is available 24/7 to all RNIB staff and volunteers, provided by Health Assured Ltd. Volunteers can call any time, day or night, on 0800 028 0199 or 0161 836 9498 from outside the UK.

Keeping In Touch for Volunteers

These volunteer-led sessions were introduced following feedback from our volunteers. They take place online four times a year and offer an opportunity to connect with volunteers across the organisation, learn more about RNIB, and have some fun too.

Volunteer SharePoint Site

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our new SharePoint site for RNIB volunteers. This platform provides up-to-date volunteering information, training and wellbeing resources, event details, volunteer insights, and much more. Sign up by completing our online form or email us at [email protected]. We'll send you all the instructions you need to get started!

Volunteering Hub

Our Volunteering Hub is a fantastic resource for all relevant guidance, resources, wellbeing offer information and up-to-date volunteer insights.

Volunteer news

The Volunteer news is a monthly newsletter for all volunteers, featuring volunteering stories, key updates from RNIB, and invites to events and opportunities. This will be sent in your preferred format.

Working Together

RNIB aims to create an environment where volunteers not only contribute to our meaningful cause but also thrive personally and emotionally. By listening to our volunteer feedback, we strive to provide a wellbeing offer that achieves this and continues to evolve.
