Description

We are looking for individual's with lived experience of sightloss to join our Expert Patient Group to ensure that patient voices are heard in the delivery and evaluation of eye health services in Wales.


The Expert Patient Group will meet to discuss upcoming eye health policy and influencing activities, and to hear first-hand accounts of primary and secondary eye health services. Members of the Group will also raise issues with staff and may provide case studies for official inquiries.


Meetings will take place virtually or over the telephone for an hour every two months, further input might be sought if issues arise between meetings.

  • You must be at least 18 years old to apply

What skills and experience are needed?

  • • Ability to talk openly and share experiences in group discussions. • Will have good active listening skills to engage respectfully and sensitively with others’ experiences and perspectives. • Will be able to work collaboratively and constructively with other group members and staff. • Confidence to raise issues and a willingness to speak up about concerns or gaps in care. • Ability to reflect on personal experiences to draw meaningful insights from their own journey through eye care services.
