Description
At RNIB we spend around £40m annually with suppliers in our work to enable a barrier-free world for people with low or no vision across the UK. We know that we could procure services more effectively and efficiently if we had cleaner and more visible data to aid smarter decision-making. Better practice will enable increased value from every pound donated.
We’re seeking assistance from suitably skilled data practitioners for a limited time. The three areas of focus are:
• cleansing of current data as a preparatory step;
• strategic planning and data mapping;
• supporting the build of inclusive dashboards for various internal stakeholders.
We’re very happy with the idea of different individuals helping across these three areas / phases.
The very best volunteering experiences are win-win. Our challenges that need solving could be your opportunities for valuable experience and personal growth. As a minimum, we’re offering a rewarding opportunity with a charity working to make a big difference in the lives of others. Given our purpose and the fact that blind and partially sighted people are active in our workforce, we need dashboards and methods of presenting data to be accessible. Joining us will provide you with skills to create inclusive solutions. You’ll also be joining a very well-established and friendly team under the leadership of a personable and highly experienced procurement professional – Glenn Hurst. Glenn will be able to offer mentoring to any contributors seeking to advance their career.
