RNIB World Book Day 2025 creative writing competition
As part of our World Book Day celebrations, we're delighted to announce our creative writing competition for children with a vision impairment.
As part of our World Book Day celebrations, we're inviting submissions from children with a vision impairment for a piece of creative writing (prose or poetry in any form or style is welcome), on the theme of 'friendship.'
The theme is inspired by Tom Palmer, whose book The Soccer Diaries is part of the World Book Day 2025 lineup, and will be available in audio and braille through the RNIB Library from the end of February. Tom will also be judging and giving feedback on our top three entries.
No previous creative writing experience is required. We're keen to receive submissions from as wide a field as possible. Applicants from traditionally marginalised groups are particularly welcome.
We can’t wait to read your submission and wish you the very best of luck!
