How to start your guide running journey
Running is an inclusive activity which anyone can get involved with, no matter what level of sight you have.
If you don’t feel comfortable going out on your own, you can use the Couch to 5k app to help start your journey and find a guide for added support.
Some blind and partially sighted people like to use a tether with their guide, to help stay on track. A tether is a short piece of fabric with two hoops at the end. This allows you both to either grip them or put them on your wrists, whilst running or walking together.
Whether you want to start by going for a walk with a friend, a guide or on your own or challenge yourself to a jog, it will help improve your fitness and get you moving more.
