Since we sold our Stillhouse Lane premises in Bristol to Guide Dogs earlier this year, we’ve been operating from there as tenants and will continue to do so for at least the next six months.

We’ve taken this opportunity to review our services and work with partners including Guide Dogs and Thomas Pocklington Trust to consider how to best meet the needs of our customers and what location will be most suited to our requirements.

We’re continuing to change how we do things so that, along with our partners, we can maximise resources and ultimately support more blind and partially sighted people, both now and in the future.

As part of these changes, some people have asked us about the future of the Resource Centre in Bristol. We’re making changes to the way customers can try out and buy products and technology which could help them in their day-to-day lives. These changes will allow us to create a more flexible and accessible way of sharing products and technology.

With local partners, we’re working to explore different ways of bringing products and technology to our customers in the Bristol area in a convenient and accessible way, as well as exploring possible locations.

In the meantime, our Resource Centre in Bristol remains open and we’re consulting with blind and partially sighted people and local partners to ensure we can all work together to make the city a better place for people with sight loss.
