"I always wanted to support RNIB in my Will. I think it’s very worthwhile to feel your money is going towards helping somebody else."

It was quite a shock when they discovered I had glaucoma because I had no idea. I soon got referred to the Eye Hospital at the Royal Surrey. When the pressure went up in my eye, they decided to operate to save my sight. The thought of losing my sight was scary, because I love painting and reading. It’s so precious to me. RNIB helped me with advice on glaucoma and they’re still supporting me. It’s such a wonderful feeling that there’s a body of people who are friendly, helpful and approachable, and that you can go to them if you’re worried. I couldn’t bear to think of something happening to my sight, so that’s why I always wanted to support RNIB in my Will. I think it’s very worthwhile to feel your money is going towards helping somebody else.
