The story of three generations of the Pargiter family - their intimacies and estrangements, anxieties and triumphs - mapped out against the bustling rhythms of London's streets during the first decades of the twentieth century. A work of fluid and dazzling lucidity, The Years eschews a simple line of development in favour of a varied and constantly changing style, emphasises the radical discontinuity of personal experiences and historical events. Virginia Woolf's penultimate novel celebrates the resilience of the individual self and, in her dazzlingly fluid and distinctive voice, she confidently paints a broad canvas across time, generation and class.

Read by Gabriel Woolf, this book runs for 15 episodes until the 6th of July.

The book cover features an abstract, artistic design. It uses a variety of colours and textures to create an intriguing visual. The background is predominantly a light beige colour with vertical brush strokes in varying shades of beige and light brown. There are clusters of small, blue, oval-shaped marks scattered throughout the upper half of the cover, which give a sense of depth and texture.

Towards the bottom half of the cover, there are darker, more saturated shapes. These include a large, dark green shape with a rough texture, a smaller black shape, and a hint of bright red near the bottom left corner, adding contrast to the composition.

The title "The Years" and the author's name "Virginia Woolf" are written in an elegant, white cursive font, positioned centrally towards the lower half of the cover. The text stands out against the darker background, making it easily readable.

The overall design is abstract and modern, giving a sense of depth and complexity that aligns with Virginia Woolf's literary style.
