Join Team RNIB for this challenging trek against the backdrop of the awe-inspiring Sahara Desert and help support people living with sight loss.

Dates:

  • 31 October – 4 November 2019

  • 15 – 19 October 2020

From flat desert floor scattered with ancient fossils, to perfect wind-blown sand-dunes, this trek is diverse and demanding. The vast, unforgiving desert is a truly beautiful place to discover, while the incredible star-strewn night skies are something you’ll never forget. Accompanied by Berber guides and a small caravan of camels, the remote night-camps with camp-fires and Berber singing are often a real highlight of the trip!

How does your fundraising help?

Every 15 minutes someone loses their sight. However, right now many people receive no support at all when given this news. We want to change that.

We’re on a mission to make sure every UK hospital has a dedicated Sight Loss Advisor. Your fundraising will help us be there when people need us most, as we grow our network of expert advisors and reach everyone who needs our emotional and practical support.
