If you want to keep up with the day’s headlines or simply want to enjoy your free time relaxing with your favourite magazine in an accessible format, look no further than RNIB Newsagent.

We deliver more than 200 popular and best-selling publications, in a format to suit you. There are popular high street titles, specialist publications, children’s magazines and the major daily and weekend papers.

The Technology for Life team have been exploring the best ways to access the Newsagent service and have put together a selection of resources to help you get started on a phone, tablet or desktop computer.

Newsagent is easy to access on a wide range of devices. If you are new to the service the Technology for Life team have put together some factsheets to help you get started.

Mobile Devices

You can get your newspapers and magazines on the go on your smart phone or tablet. Get the publication you want quickly and easily whether you are relaxing in the garden, sitting on the bus or are having a long lie in bed.

The free EasyReader app is a great way to enjoy RNIB’s talking newspapers and magazines on Apple and Android devices. RNIB worked with assistive technology developer Dolphin to ensure the EasyReader app is tailored to readers with a vision impairment or dyslexia. The app offers a simple interface and access to downloaded content in one place, on a smartphone or tablet. Get the EasyReader app from the iOS App Store or the Google Play store.

Desktop Computers

If you are working at home you might prefer to access your newspapers and magazines whilst sitting at your desk and using your laptop or desktop computer.
