Freedom of Information Reports
The reports below contain summary findings from RNIB's Freedom of Information (FOI) requests into education service provision for children and young people with a vision impairment.
These reports date back to 2018 although survey content each year may vary. From 2013 to 2021, the FOI report was only conducted in England, however in 2022 these reports were also extended to Scotland and Northern Ireland and in 2023 to Wales. You can read the full reports below.
Education and Children Service
RNIB provides free, specialist advice and support for professionals working with children and young people with vision impairment – from birth to age 25 – and their families. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, or you’d like more information about anything mentioned on this page, we can help.

- QTVI-led information and advice for individual education queries
- news and discussions on best-practice through the VI Forum
