Health and social care - a collective approach to prevention and support throughout the eye health pathway.
Leading Scottish sight loss organisations, in partnership with the Health and Social Care ALLIANCE Sensory Hub, are hosting a virtual sight loss sector seminar on Wednesday 9 March 2022 titled "Health and social care - a collective approach to prevention and support throughout the eye health pathway".
This event will bring together expertise from across the eye health sector covering; blind and partially sighted people's personal experiences of the eye health journey; updates about local and national optometry and ophthalmology developments; the implementation of an innovative patient record; and collaboration between healthcare and the sight loss sector.
The seminar will be of interest to individuals and professionals who work within the sight loss and sensory impairment sector, including health and social care professionals and those involved in planning and implementing services related to blind and partially sighted people.
Key speakers include the Minister for Public Health, Women's Health and Sport, Maree Todd MSP, Lesley-Anne Watt, Low Vision Lead within Scottish Government, and Ingrid Roberts, Policy Manager for the National Care Service Team within Scottish Government.
