This week we bring you a bit of a book chat as we speak with 10-year old Betsy Griffin about her love of books and writing and publishing her first book 'Out of the Woods: A tale of positivity, kindness and courage.' We’ll also hear from medal-winning climber Justin Salas, Paulina will take a look at the RNIB Library shelves for some recent self-help book releases and Claire shares some of her tips for getting through a rainy day.
12 February 2024: Prioritising Wellbeing In Dating & Love On The Run
Valentine's Day is almost here so this week we have plenty of great love songs for you as well as some love-themed quirky facts, and some great features. We'll chat with dating expert Hayley Quinn about a new trend in the dating scene to focus on your own wellbeing as well as that search for love. We’ll have something sporty in there with table tennis and how using sound could make it more accessible. And finally Amelia will, hear Kelly and Mike's story that proves that finding love is a marathon and not a sprint. Literally!

We find out a little bit more about Charles Bonnet Syndrome, hear some sleep advice from Sleep Charity, and Paulina heads over to a great sports event in Glasgow. Plus, Claire gets a bit concerned over a recent vending machine craze in Germany.

This week a new collaboration encourages young blind and partially sighted people to talk about mental health whilst getting to experience a working farm, a fun science camp opportunity for the younger kiddos, and Paulina gets tips for how to use canned food to create nutritious meals from TV Chef Dean Edwards. Plus, Claire and Paulina get a fit of giggles over a weird 15th Century fashion trend.

We hear about an event in Glasgow which will focus on getting a bit more active, Amelia chats with Dr Stuart Gore a blind counselling Psychologist and lecturer, and Paulina takes a look at the RNIB Library shelves for the best new release in self-help titles. Plus a very random news story leaves Claire bewildered.
