Parent Pathways: Focus on Education is aimed at parents and carers of children and young people with vision impairment.

This session offers an introductory look at the education system for children and young people with vision impairment from around age 12. It explains some of the terminology, legislation, different professionals and types of support that may be available for a child or young person with vision impairment in education, from secondary school age to Higher Education. It is delivered by two of RNIB’s Family Support Officers. After the session you will be provided with signposting to further information and resources on this topic.

The course is open to parents/carers of children and young people aged from around 12 – 25.

For information about our other ‘Focus on’ sessions which cover specific topics such as finances, play and education for early years and primary school age, visit www.rnib.org.uk/pathways or see our course calendar for additional dates.
