RNIB welcomes our new Chair, Anna Tylor

RNIB has welcomed its new Chair, Anna Tylor, to its Board of Trustees.

The second female chair in RNIB’s 152-year history, Anna joins RNIB from her previous role as Chair of the Vision Foundation. Accepting the handover from Eleanor Southwood, Anna praised her predecessor:

“Over the last couple of months, I have seen a stupendous effort by RNIB to ensure that blind and partially sighted people get to live the lives they want to lead. That wouldn’t have been possible without Eleanor’s steady leadership, good humour and absolute commitment to the cause we are all here to serve. She truly leaves RNIB a stronger, better and more effective organisation.

“I am very excited to be joining the organisation at such an important time in its history. RNIB will become more vital than ever in the coming months as we work to prevent the advances of the past two decades being rolled back by responses to the pandemic. I am looking forward to working with the RNIB Board of Trustees and with CEO Matt Stringer and his team to continue RNIB’s transformation into a dynamic, modern organisation that will meet these challenges head on, delivering equal citizenship for blind and partially sighted people.”
