Blind and partially sighted Glasgow residents will get in-person support and advice at their local library

RNIB Scotland are running monthly drop-in support sessions across Glasgow Life Libraries, where anyone can come along to access information about sight loss, RNIB services and to socialise with others with sight loss.

The exhibition explores how the little black dress by fashion designer Coco Chanel has changed over time and impacted fashion and culture, from punk and afro-futurist fashions to pieces from hit TV show Killing Eve.

Borders Councillors Experience Street Hazards Facing Blind Residents

A group of Scottish Borders Councillors tried to navigate around obstacles and clutter on the streets in Kelso, wearing spectacles that mimic different sight loss conditions. The exercise was arranged by national charity RNIB Scotland in a bid to demonstrate the problems that blind and partially sighted residents experience when confronted with advertising boards, bollards, cycle racks and café furniture.

MSPs mark National Eye Health Week

RNIB Scotland are marking National Eye Health Week 2023 by encouraging MSPs to visit their local optometrists for their free eye exam. Taking part so far are MSPs Stuart McMillan, Jeremy Balfour, Michael Marra, and Colin Smyth, who each visited their local optometry practices this week. National Eye Health Week takes place from 18 to 24 September 2023 and highlights the importance of good eye health and the need for regular eye tests for all.
